| The University of Kerala has invited applications for admission to M.Tech Programme (sponsored and non-sponsored seats), conducted in Departments of Computer Science, Optoelectronics and Future Studies to be commenced on 15th September 2010. Candidtes seeking admission to the course have to possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Technology with at least 55% marks in one of the following branches: Computer Science and Engineering / Electronics Engineering / Electrical Engineering from the University of Kerala or equivalent recognized degree of a recognized University or First Class Master’s degree in Computer Science / Computer Application from the University of Kerala or equivalent recognized Degree by AICTE / UGC / CSIR. Minimum marks in the qualifying examination for the SC/ST candidates are 50%. Admission for non-sponsored category of students will be made on the basis of GATE score. Candidates for sponsored seats must have a minimum experience of two years in relevant field and must be sponsored by the industry/training/research organizations. | Kerala University invites applications in the manner prescribed by potential candidates for the University of Kerala 2010 Common Admission Test (CAT KU-2010) for admission to the two-year MBA (full time) and MBA (full-time tourism) and the semester credit system 2010-2012. Students who are appearing for their final year / semester final exam grade are also eligible to apply - provided that no documents back to the last semester.1. Candidates should appear for the entrance examination for MBA of the University in the last week of May 2010 at any of the following centers: (1) Thiruvananthapuram (2) Kollam (3) Alappuzha (4) Thrissur (5) Adoor (6) Kannur NOTE: The University reserves the right to cancel any center if there is a sufficient number of candidates placed in the center. 2. Based on the performance in the entrance examination, candidates are invited to participate in discussion groups and interviews to be held in the third week of June 2010. 3. Classification List for admission to the MBA program will be completed according to the score on the entrance examination (70% weightage), Group Discussion (15% weightage) and Interview (15% weightage) to be published in early / second week of July 2010. 4. The counseling for admission will be during the third week of July 2010 to perform the following procedure: a. Top 20 posts at the Merit and the next 20 seats in the category of reservation will be completed IMK, Department Palayam b. Next 20 seats in the category of Merit and the subsequent 20 seats in the category of reservation will be completed MBA (Tourism) in IMK, Palayam department. c. 200 Next places Merit category and the subsequent 200 seats in the reservation category shall be completed for the extension centers. d. In the absence of SC / ST candidates, it will be occupied by OEC and subsequently by OBC candidates and candidates finally Open. e. Candidates have the option of choosing the Center only in terms of their merit in the provisional Ranklist. f. Moving center once admitted will not be permitted. g. Fee once remitted will not be returned. Eligibility for admission Any student who has spent a career of any Indian universities in the regular flow recognized by the University of Kerala, and will be in 10 2 3 pattern (or 10 +2 +4). In all cases, the student must have passed the examination of grade marks no less than 50% marks in Part III (without approximation, ie 49.999% is not eligible, because it is less than 50%) in BA, B. Sc, B. Com, etc, and the marks of 50% in total in the case of B. Tech, B. Sc (Agri) and other 4 / 5 racing years are eligible for admission. SC / ST candidates will relax as the rules of the University. Candidate received a Masters degree or other universities must submit a certificate of eligibility issued by the University of Kerala (Course Equivalency certificates) at the time of admission.
